!!Update: The official version for NL users is now ready to download. Over the Air or Samsung Kies can be used to update the phone. If you have updated your phone with this manual then you need to manually install the NL(Dutch)-Rom with Odin.

Check out this page for selecting the right ROM for your phone as there are different carriers.

Things you need to know:

- Make a back-up of your device just in case (in my case all apps where present after update).

- Don’t run samsung kies when running Odin.

- Please make sure your battery is full and computer is not going in to sleep mode.

Required Files:

• download firmware (NL/UK)
• download odin

Procedure:

Step 1: Extract the firmware zip file.

Step 2: Extract Odin zip file.

Step 3: Power off your phone and wait for vibration to confirm complete switch off.

Step 4: Put the Samsung Galaxy S3 in Download Mode by pressing and holding down the Volume Down and Home buttons while pressing the Power button until Samsung Galaxy logo appears on the screen. After some time, your phone will be in download mode.

Step 5: Run Odin3 as an Administrator.

Step 6: Connect the Galaxy S3 with your PC via USB.

Note: Make sure you have the Galaxy S3 driver installed. You can install this by downloading and installing Samsung Kies!

Note: A message will appear saying “Added” under the Odin’s message box. In addition, if the device is connected properly, you will see the COM port with a number in Yellow or Blue.

Step 7: Put the .tar file in the Phone box.

- Click the Phone Button and select .tar file that’s under the folder you extracted from the firmware zip file.

Step 8: In Odin window, ensure Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes are selected

Step 9: Click on the START button to begin the flashing process.

Note: Make sure that Samsung Kies is not running (also not as process). If the upgrade fails, reboot your laptop re-connect your phone and try again!

Step 10: After flashing is complete, you will get a PASS message with green background in the left-most box at the top of the Odin. The phone will then automatically reboot and you will see the Samsung logo after sometime. After that, you can unplug the USB cable to disconnect your device from computer.

If your Galaxy S3 gets stuck at booting after Step 10, go to recovery mode by pressing and holding down the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons together and perform Wipe data/Factory Reset. After that, select “reboot system now.”
